Upper class people in Coimbatore are ready to spend upto Rs. 50 Lakhs within the next couple of years in the real estate market.

Manhattan was a project carried out by Kaybase in and around Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) among SEC A1 and A2 to understand their intention to invest in a premium apartment / house and their expectations from a builder

The study was carried out among men in the age group of 28 to 30 years, especially those earning more than Rs. 30,000/- per month (in reality, it will be slightly higher as people understate their income when it comes to surveys).

The study results say that 65% of the sample is planning to buy a house in the next two years and 10% of them have bought a house very recently. Those who are planning to buy are prepared to spend from Rs. 30-50 Lakhs for their purchase.

The interesting part is that only 40% of them are prepared to look at a professional builder / the organised sector of the construction industry, while the balance is looking at the unorganised sector. Respondents seem to expect quite a bit from a construction company, but the two most important factors that drive preference are: ethics of the company and timely delivery.

The posh areas like Avinashi Road, Pella Medu and Sai Baba colony seem to be the most attractive locations for the respondents to live in.

Apart from the above information; the study also covered things like best real estate brands in Coimbatore, expectations on the design of a new house and respondents’ leisure activities, demographics & media habits.
